Powered by K L Rahul’s brilliant half-century and Ravindra Jadeja’s heroics in death overs, India successfully reached a fighting total of 161/7 in 20 overs. Later, while chasing, Australia though started well, but later fell short of 11 runs of winning the match.

K L Rahul scored 51 (40) runs while Jadeja played a crucial knock of unbeaten 44* (23) runs. In the bowling department, Chahal and Natarajan took three-three wickets each with figures that read 3/25 (4) and 3/30 (4).

The toss was won by Australian Captain Aaron Finch, who elected to field first.

Australia started their innings pretty well with 56 runs coming off their 1st wicket partnership. Soon after eliminating Finch from the chase campaign, the Indian side made a great comeback into the match.
