IND vs ENG: ENG wins 2nd ODI at Lords by 100 Runs

In the second ODI between India and England at Lords, it was England who emerged victorious by a huge margin of 100 runs. Batting first, ENG got bowled out for 246 in 49 overs. For England, lower order batters like Moeen Ali 47(64) and David Willey 41(49) played crucial knocks, assisting hosts to set a decent total against India to compete.

Indian team had a forgettable start with both opening batters Sharma and Dhawan, leaving for pavilion at scores of 0(10) and 9(26). With 31/4 once in 11.2 overs, Indian team could hardly manage to reach 146 in 38.5 overs. For India, not even a single batter could reach a score of 30.

For England, the fast bowler Reece Topley emerged hero with figures of 6/24 in 9.5 overs. With this win, England has levelled three-match ODI series by 1-1. Now the two teams will face each other in the series decider on 17th July 2022.
