Growing Growfitter’s footprint in Vietnam, the Philippines, Dubai, and Singapore through integration into the NEAR blockchain is a key step for the business.

Growfitter, a rewards programme founded in 2016 by Sanmati Pande and Harshit Sethy, aims to encourage individuals to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle by rewarding their physical activity with real financial advantages. Using a motion-sensing proprietary algorithm, the app correctly guesses whether a person is cycling, walking, jogging, or in a car. More than 25k paying subscribers and more than 400k unique people per month visit the website of the startup. Since its start, Growfitter has more than 100 direct-to-consumer brands on board and has redeemed awards totaling more than $6 million.

In order to expand its operations internationally, Growfitter, India’s largest incentive-based wellness platform, teamed up with NEAR India, the NEAR Foundation’s regional office in India. Growing Growfitter’s presence in Vietnam, the Philippines, Dubai, and Singapore is made possible by the company’s incorporation into the NEAR blockchain.

An application like Growfitter can use NEAR Protocol, a highly secure and economical platform, to reach its worldwide users without really being present in the targeted geographic areas. One of the first Indian firms to switch from Web2 to Web3 for geographic expansion is Growfitter, which is backed by NEAR. The highly scalable Layer-1 blockchain that supports sharding as an infrastructure will serve as the foundation for the continued evolution of Growfitter’s design. The incentive-based digital health platform also intends to introduce Growfitter’s utility token (GFIT) on the NEAR Protocol as a benefit for its cryptocurrency users.
